Driving and rest period regulations
At Egons, everyone – management, administration and drivers – focuses 100% on ensuring that the driving and rest period regulations are complied with. We adapt all our trips and duty rosters according to these regulations.
At Egons, on tours abroad we often use a minimum of 2 drivers. On many of our departures we use pick-up drivers, who collect all the guests and drive up to the point the two tour drivers board the coach.
Egons has Timeguide in all tourist coaches, which ensures that our drivers comply with the relevant driving and rest period regulations.
All tourist coaches operating for Egons are Tempo-100 approved. This means that they can operate at a speed of 100 km/h on Danish, German and French motorways. Furthermore, all coaches are fitted with speed limiters so that they cannot operate at more than 100 km/h. A Tempo-100 approval is issued by the Danish supervisory authorities and, among other things, set out requirements in relation to brakes and tyres.
All our coaches operate with winter tyres during the period from 1 November to 31 March.
